Shetland Trader MKAL

Not long home from 3rd week at my photography class (a blog post to follow about that shortly!) and logging into ravelry I noticed a new MKAL. I love mystery knit-alongs!! Especially when they are shawls 🙂

The Shetland Trader (AKA Gudrun Johnston) is running her first MKAL. You can sign up now through ravelry here

The first clue is out 1st June and then there will be three following weekly clues. The last clue has a little bit of knitting and then instructions for finishing.

Gudrun hasn’t given much away to spoil the mystery but she has said on her pattern page “the shawl is less on the lacey side and more texture driven with clean lines”

Yarn choices are pretty broad too. Gudrun suggests either a solid or semi-solid but it could possibly be made with a variegated yarn. The shawl is constructed in three sections so you could make each section in a different colour, ombré colours or even just one solid colour throughout. The decisions are endless!!!

I’ve just signed up…who’s with me?

    • Hi Amber – thanks for the follow! I’ve literally just finished clue one in the last half hour. This is the first time I’ve participated in a MKAL that took me the whole week to finish – but then I did decide to go for the large size lol. I’m loving the pattern so far and I can’t wait to see where Gudrun is taking us all next! Have you finished yourself? Roll on clue tomorrow 🙂
